Discotek Mama is a four piece alternative rock band from Lawrence, Kansas. The band formed in 2022 as a byproduct of a thriving Kansas DIY scene – spending weekend nights gigging at the network of various established venues and basement venues. Fronted by guitarists Isaac Castro and Brady Foltz with backing from rhythm duo Jack Lague on bass and Jacob Smith on drums, the band has climbed the ranks amongst scenesters and the local college crowd. Within their first year as a band, Discotek Mama placed as finalists in Lawrence’s battle of the bands and have since become seasoned rockers within the regional scene. Blending various influences from The Cribs, The Strokes, The Replacements, and Mustard Service, the band is ready to start the process of releasing their debut EP with their first single Last Call
